Day 1 Nov. 16: Beta, who teaches theatre arts, drove us into the town of Las Varas and the clinic, about 20 minutes from Chacala and Mar de Jade. Chuy came with us; he was to help us and help us he did! From Chacala, teaching computer skills to the kids at the clinic, Chuy is a graphic design student at university in Puerto Vallarta. He was indispensable!

First assignment: After pairing off, each student had to take 3 photos of her/his partner from 3 different points of view.

Mar de Jade, Chacala, Nayarit

It doesn't get much better than this: sand between our toes, warm breezes, warm people, and a bunch of energetic kids to work with. Thanks to our friend Johanna in Vancouver and Dr. Laura del Valle at Mar de Jade the MY STORY photo project has come to Mexico for 2 weeks. We will be working at Dr. Laura's clinic/community center in Las Varas, with Janet, the director, and Chuy, who teaches computer skills.
